Foreword

In 2000 my wife, Hilary, began to research my family history. Whilst researching my mother’s family she came across the death certificate of my grandfather, George Dodsworth. It came as a great surprise to both of us to find that George had died in Midville, Lincolnshire a very long way from the family home. Intrigued by this piece of information, Hilary has researched the life and times of George Dodsworth. This document is the culmination of that research and is dedicated to his memory.
