Nothing is known about Edward at this time

 Elizabeth Sladen nee Marston (1854-1886)

Elizabeth Marston married John Sladen in Pateley Bridge in the June quarter of 1873. In the 1881 census they were living in Springfield, Guiseley. In 1886 Elizabeth died. Her grave is in Birstwith churchyard. There is a photograph of the grave in the appendix.

 Robert Marston (1856-1866)

Edward Marston (1858-1938)

In the 1881 census Edward was a farm servant for Mark Waite at Town Street Farm House, Guiseley. On April 4th 1883 he married Elizabeth Helen Parkinson in Carlinghow and was living in Batley working as a farmer. In 1901 he had returned to Felliscliffe, living at Swincliffe House, where he stated until at least 1911. Elizabeth’s parents, Thomas and Christiana Parkinson, lived nearby at West Syke Green. Edward and Elizabeth are buried at Hampsthwaite. There is a photograph of the gravestone in the appendix. Edward died on 15th May 1938 at Cote Syke Farm, Hampsthwaite. Probate was granted at York on 1st July to Edward Marston and Joseph Brown, farmers. His effects were £6685 17s 10d.

Mary Ellen Fawcett nee Marston (1862-1944)

Mary Ellen married in Frederick Fawcett on June 11th 1887 in Birstwith. Frederick died two years later in Q2 1889, Pateley Bridge. By 1891 Mary Ellen is back home with her parents. She is still living at home with her parents in 1901.

Margaret Louisa Emsley nee Marston (1864-)

Margaret Louisa married James Emsley on January 18th 1883 in Birstwith. By 1901 they have the family shown below and live at Towngate Farm, Batley.

In 1911 Elizabeth and Joseph are still living at home in Batley. It would appear, from the 1911 census for Charles Vero, they have a child James Emsley who is visiting the Vero's.

Charles Frederick Marston (1868-1938)

Charles Frederick Marston married Eleanor B. Champley around 1891. Eleanor Champley was a domestic servant in York according to the 1881 census. Her whereabouts at the time of the 1891census are unknown. Charles and Eleanor are at Longscales in 1901 and Rose Cottage, Tang in 1911. Charles is a farmer during this period.

The Family of Charles Frederick Marston (1868-1938)

Charles and Eleanor are buried in Birstwith churchyard. There is a photograph of the grave in the appendix. Charles died at Claremont Darley on 27th November 1938. Probate was granted to Edward Marston and Annie Louise Skaife at York on 7th February 1939. His effects were £1921 0s 4d.

Sarah Annie Vero nee Marston (1871-)

Sarah Annie married Charles Ferdinand Vero in Q2 1894 in Pateley Bridge. They had at least one child, Winifred Mary Vero, born Q1 1905 in Pateley Bridge.

Known Family of Sarah Annie Vero nee Marston (1871-)

In 1891 Sarah Annie was in the household of her future in laws as a visitor. Charles Ferdinand's occupation is given as butcher. By 1901 the couple are living at Cote Hill, Birstwith with Charles Ferdinand as a Farmer. In 1911 they are still farming, but at Ripley.
