Generation 1 : Nathaniel Dalby and Jane Carter

Jane Dalby married Henry Allerston and cited her birth on the 1861 census as being in 1813 in Beverley. The IGI contains an identical entry for such a Jane Dalby, daughter of Nathaniel and Jane Dalby. Also in the IGI is a marriage of  Nathaniel Dalby to Jane Carter in 1812 at Watton, which is just north of Beverley.

Whilst there is no trace of Nathaniel’s birth, there is a Nathaniel and Jane Dalby in the 1841 census. However the couple are located in Fraisthorpe, just south of Bridlington, and born around 1776/7.
